Merry Christmas - Joyeux Noël

Merry Christmas! I hope you've all enjoyed my advent calendar - I certainly had fun making it.
So which was the overall favourite? Well mine was a tie between the robin and the snowman... And you?

Joyeux Noël! J'espère que vous avez aimé mon calendrier d'avent - je me suis bien amusé pour le confectionner.  Alors, lequel était l'image le plus aimé? Pour moi c'était entre le rouge- gorge et le bonhomme de neige. Et vous?


Well according to instagram, it was definitely the Christmas pudding which got the most love! Here on the blog the most viewed was the wreath. As for facebook, the pudding and the wreath did well, but it was the robin which came out top.

Selon Instagram,  c'était le 'pudding' de loin qui a reçu le plus des commentaires. Ici sur le blog, le plus regardé était la couronne. Sur facebook ces deux ont aussi été bien aimé, mais c'était le rouge gorge qui a eu le plus des vote.

So, drum roll please.....i've just been watching the queen and recycling some paper to prepare the draw.....and the winner is .....

Alors un peu de silence, s'il vous plaît....je viens de regarder le discours de la Reine d'Angleterre à la télé et en même temps je recyclais du papier cadeau pour préparer le tirage aux sorts....et la gagnante est..

Thanks again to everyone for all your likes and comments. I'm taking a couple of weeks off to plot something exciting for the New Year - and play with the lino printing set I had in my stocking :D

Day 22 : there are just the final preparations before the big day....hanging the stockings on the fireplace and wait for Father Christmas :) 

Jour 22: il reste les derniers préparatifs à faire...il faut accrocher les chaussettes à la cheminée en attendant père Noël :)

Day 21 : It's time to wrap your presents - and why not with a pretty fabric bow ?! 

Jour 21: C'est l'heure de faire des emballages cadeaux - et pourquoi pas avec un joli noeud en tissu ?! 

Advent Calendar - Day 20

I think Christmas crackers are one of my favourite things - the rubbish joke and tacky gift just add to the fun, plus the fact that even the most miserable guest is obliged to sit through the meal wearing a paper hat is just a stroke of genius :)

Alors, pour les amis francophones, j'explique.... celui-ci est un 'cracker' sort de grand pétard décoré qui contient une blague (du genre d'un carambar si non pire...) ; un petit jouet ou puzzle (souvent en plastique qui se trouvera à la poubelle après) puis un chapeau en papier de soie, qui même le plus grincheux d'invité est obligé de porter pendant le repas.  Je trouve le tout formidable!

Advent calendar - Day 19

OK, so I know I was voting in favour of my little robin the other day, but actually now I see this chap again, I'm pretty torn between the tow of them.  I'm really pleased with how the pattern on the body creates a shaded effect and I love his funky hat... So it will have to be up to you to decide for me!

Ok, alors je sais que l'autre jour je votais pour le rouge gorge, mais maintenant que je revois mon bonhomme de neige je ne sais plus!  Je suis très contente avec l'effet des ombres créé par le motif sur son corps, et j'adore son chapeau génial...Alors c'est à vous de décider à ma place!
